Introducing Edge Challenges – a brand-new programme for Oxford postgraduates
We’re excited to launch Edge Challenges, a new initiative for Oxford DPhil and Master’s students, delivered in collaboration with Oxford Science Enterprises and the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship.
From 25 February to 15 April, you’ll join a small, interdisciplinary team to work once a week on a real-world challenge shaped by external stakeholders. You’ll develop a research-informed response with impact beyond the University – whether that’s at the frontier of scientific entrepreneurship or social innovation.
Two challenge pathways:
- With Oxford Science Enterprises: tackle deep tech challenges at the frontier of innovation, including trustworthy AI, new approaches to healthcare needs, novel hardware for compute, manufacturing, and industrial processes.
- With the Skoll Centre: work with Nando’s as a live organisational lab to explore real-world barriers young people face in employment and help shape new approaches to social impact
Applications close 5pm on 18 February
