Krylov complexity is a powerful diagnostic of operator growth in quantum many-body systems. It has recently been applied to holography, where it is argues that the complexity is encoded geometrically by studying geodesics. In this talk I will review the different notions of complexity, before focussing on Krylov and then looking at applications of this to study confinement in holography.
