Roy Wood is best known for Wizard's I Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday, as well as being a member of the Move and ELO - and for being very underrated (it turns out).

Postdoctoral Research Associate in Geometry Group Theory

We are currently inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work with Professor Dawid Kielak at the Mathematical Institute, University of Oxford. This is a 3-year, fixed-term position, funded by a research grant from the ERC. The successful candidate will be expected to be in post by 1st September 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.

22nd Oxford-Berlin Young Researchers Meeting on Applied Stochastic Analysis (Dec 2025)

This workshop will be held at Oxford on 11th-13th December 2025. The focus will be on Rough Path Analysis and its rapidly growing applications in Applied Stochastic Analysis, ranging from the creation of more robust frameworks for stochastic differential equations to new ways of handling high dimensional data.
