MIRZAKHANI SOCIETY

Hello all, we are the Mirzakhani Society, a group for all the women and non-binary mathematicians at Oxford. We run lots and lots of relaxed events from pizza nights to career conferences. Our main aim is to create a warm and welcoming environment for women* to come together and chat about life, maths and anything in-between.

The School of Mathematics of the University of Edinburgh and Public Health Scotland invite you to participate in the Edinburgh Undergraduate Operational Research Challenge. The challenge is to design a solution for a practical problem using operational research. If you are interested in using numerate techniques to solve practical problems and enable decision-makers to execute better decisions and make a difference for society, then this challenge is for you!

In this interactive workshop, lead by Dr Luciana Basualdo Bonatto, we'll discuss what mathematicians are looking for in written solutions. How can you set out your ideas clearly, and what are the standard mathematical conventions? Please bring a pen or pencil!

Hey there! We're the Invariants, a.k.a. the Oxford University Student Society for Mathematics.

If you've not heard of us before, we're a hub for all things a Maths student would be interested in. We run a wide variety of events each term, including talks, socials, competitions, career events, and more.

We are looking for Oxford Maths Ambassadors!

Ambassadors are students that make our outreach events truly welcoming and friendly, and make sure that things run smoothly.

Starting at Oxford is an exciting time, but it's normal to feel some anxiety about making this move. We are committed to working with you to set you up for success at the University.
