Moments in families of L-functions over function fields
28 April–2 May 2025 | Group's invited speaker: Jon Keating
This conference explores the intersection of homological stability and number theory over function fields, bringing together experts in analytic number theory and topology. Recent breakthroughs using Hurwitz spaces will be examined, with particular focus on Cohen-Lenstra heuristics, Malle's conjecture, and Selmer ranks.
Number Theory, Quantum Chaos and their Interfaces
18–22 May 2025 | Group's invited speaker: Jon Keating
This interdisciplinary conference unites researchers studying the deep connections between number theory and quantum chaos. The programme will facilitate dialogue between these complementary fields, focusing on recent advances and emerging connections that bridge these mathematical domains.
Conference on "Progress and Emergent Theories in Zeta and L-Functions" (PRETZL)
21–25 July 2025 | Group's invited speakers: Louis-Pierre Arguin and Jon Keating
Our understanding in the classical theory of the value distribution of the Riemann zeta function has achieved new heights with spectacular breakthroughs on moments and extreme values (both local and global) leading to a better understanding of families of L-functions more generally. The aim of this conference is to bring together distinguished researchers working in the classical analytic, probabilistic, and automorphic theories to further develop these important interactions.
