Network Rail are responsible for managing a suite of whole lifecycle forecasting models for railway assets (such as track, signalling systems and bridges). These models are used to help understand the future required spend on their assets as well as estimate the impact of different funding scenarios.
They have two open roles in their team and are looking for talented people to take over the management and development of a selection of asset modelling tools. The majority of the team are PhD graduates, and the position would be well-suited for someone looking to transition into data analytics within industry, who have either just completed or are towards the end of their PhD in a scientific field.
