An Oxford alumnus and finance entrepreneur seeks two research assistants to work on the application of techniques in mathematical/theoretical physics to research problems in both physics and quantitative finance as well as related areas.
Applicants must demonstrate skills and have competencies in the following: mathematical and statistical analysis at postgraduate level; coding of algorithms in Python or similar; data analysis; website design, implementation and management.
Time required is estimated at 10-15 hours a week with one or two meetings a month (by Zoom). Rate of remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and at a premium to University tutorial rates. You must have experience of writing programming code and knowledge of the implementation of differential equations. A strong interest in the use of mathematical models will be indispensable as you will have to derive some of the necessary input for the development of a model from the literature.
