Hey there! We're the Invariants, a.k.a. the Oxford University Student Society for Mathematics.

If you've not heard of us before, we're a hub for all things a Maths student would be interested in. We run a wide variety of events each term, including talks, socials, competitions, career events, and more. Membership is free so feel free to join any number of our events. Please have a look at the above term card, and feel free to reach out to m@email if you have any questions!
This week, we're pleased to host Prof. André Henriques who will give a talk provisionally titled "Somos sequences and cluster algebras", which will be held on Thursday 24th October at LT1. Our sponsor Five Rings is also hosting coffee chats on Friday 25th October.
Other events: We also run puzzle competitions throughout the term, and publish an annual society magazine (you can read the latest copy on our website).
Oxford Maths Team Challenge: This year, we're also launching the OMTC – this will be an in-person contest for Y12/13 students in the local area. We are currently recruiting problem writers / editors to help with this.
If this sounds like something you'd like to do, please read our google doc (3-minute read): https://docs.google.com/document/d/1CJ5PKKg5tXgre62OMTwuqUZ4FE_F_CvEl5UyJc_6ZNo/edit?usp=sharing.
To be notified of further event details and sign-up links, please follow us on social media, or subscribe to our weekly mailing list by sending a blank email to @email.
That's it for now, we look forward to meeting you soon!
