The Vice-Chancellor’s Colloquium is a unique extra-curricular opportunity to develop interdisciplinary skills outside of your course. Students meet from 5-7pm on Wednesdays for keynote lectures (odd weeks of term) and interactive college sessions (even weeks of term). The Colloquium explores the causes, impacts and solutions to climate change, with opportunities to develop critical thinking and communication skills, and data and media literacies. Students will work in small groups to identify problems and propose solutions, with the group project finalists presenting at an event with the Vice-Chancellor. The time commitment is 4 hours per week and all students that complete the Colloquium (at least 75% attendance of keynotes and college sessions, and completion of self-assessments) will be awarded an Accredible certificate.
