It involves teaching a 1-hour class of 8-10 undergraduates weekly (on Wednesdays or Thursdays) from 4th – 7th week. The problems sheets are submitted by 5 pm on Mondays.
Topics include frequentist statistics, probability distributions, basic bayes theorem, regression, and hypothesis testing. If you are interested in applying for one of the vacancies, we can send more information e.g., the problems sheets from last year and answer questions about the course.
To apply, please e-mail @email a short CV (one page is fine) with relevant teaching experience, and a short statement (~1 paragraph) about why you would like to be considered for the position, by Friday 24th January.
This position is also only available to those who have already completed a PLTO course at this University. Note that if you are a graduate student, you must also have the permission of your supervisor before you could accept a position if it is offered to you. You must be able to teach all your classes.
