G-Research Graduate Scholarships
The Mathematical Institute is consistently ranked amongst the very best academic departments in the world, for both teaching and research. We are committed to attracting the world’s most talented students and working with them to help them maximise their potential. The G-Research Graduate Scholarships recognise the institute's strengths in machine learning and offer a fully-funded DPhil scholarship for someone working in the field. There will be one scholarship available in 2025-2026 and one in 2026-2027.
Terms and conditions
The scholarship covers all tuition fees and provides a grant for living expenses at UKRI rates for 4 years. The scholarship also provides an enhanced travel allowance along with access to career development opportunities offered by G-Research, these include:
- A bi-annual career mentorship meeting with a G-Research Quantitative Researcher
- A place on G-Research’s Spring into Quant Finance Program during the second year of study
- Invitations to presentation, seminars, an annual dinner
- Brand ambassador status
Awards are made to students who are ordinarily resident in the UK and EU, however, exceptions may be made for outstanding international offer holders.
How to apply
To be considered for the scholarship, all you have to do is submit your completed application (including residency information) by the appropriate deadline. All successful applicants who meet the scholarship terms and conditions will be automatically considered for funding.
