We are looking for volunteers to take part in a free two-day residential course.

The Mathematical Institute is developing a business, communications and ethics course for undergraduate students. Communication and ethical decision making are key skills for mathematicians, whether they are staying in academia or heading into the wider world. We are looking for 10-15 undergraduate volunteers to take part in this pilot course, which will consist of best-in-class communications training, a workshop on ethics (particularly focused on the power of mathematics and AI in business), and an introduction to business.

We will also need 2-3 postgraduate students to facilitate the sessions, chair discussions and challenge the views of the participants. The course will be held in an Oxford college in September or October before the start of Michaelmas term. More details will be sent out in due course.

Please fill in this form to register your interest and ask any questions. The course will be free for participants thanks to corporate sponsorship.
