This August, Purposeful Ventures are organising five residential maths camps across England for more than 500 Year 7 and Year 8 pupils who are highly able in maths and attend schools serving disadvantaged communities.

The camps aim to bring together pupils with the heart and head for maths so that they can:

• meet and make friends with other young mathematicians who share their love of maths
• engage in hands-on problem-solving and explore advanced maths beyond the national curriculum
• hear from mentors and speakers about the many directions mathematics can take them in life

We are recruiting Support Coaches — maths undergraduates who help run small-group problem solving sessions, support activities, and help create a fun environment for pupils who love mathematics.

You’ll work alongside teachers and other undergraduate coaches, helping pupils tackle interesting maths problems and contributing to the camp’s friendly, collaborative atmosphere.

Travel, accommodation, and meals are provided during the camps.
