The Oxford SIAM-IMA Student Chapter and Fridays@4 are excited to announce sign-ups for the Three Minute Thesis Competition are open
- Present your research in a three-minute talk with the aid of a single slide aimed at a non-specialist audience
- This competition is open to ALL research students in the Mathematical Institute, in both pure and applied mathematics.
- A panel of academics from the Mathematical Institute will judge the presentations based on clarity, pacing, engagement, enthusiasm, and impact to determine a winner and runner-up.
- There will also be two audience favourite prizes. Prizes are worth up to £100
- Past competitions for inspiration: 2025, 2024, 2023 (they're usually filmed and broadcast on YouTube)
- Week 5 on Friday 29th May at 4pm in L1, as part of the Fridays@4 series.
