We’re pleased to invite you to the Oxford MATLAB Bootcamp, taking place on Thursday 22 October 2026 in Software Lab A, Level 6, Thom Building, Parks Road, OX1 3PJ.

Led by Rory Adams from MathWorks, the bootcamp is designed for students and researchers who already use MATLAB and would like to develop more effective workflows for research, modelling, code development, and technical projects.

The programme includes four sessions:

10:00–10:45 | Modelling Approaches in MATLAB and Simulink
Explore mathematical, data-driven, physical, block-diagram, and system-level modelling approaches, and learn how to choose appropriate tools for research and project work.

11:00–13:00 | Research Code Development in MATLAB
Learn practical techniques for developing reliable and reusable research code, including MATLAB Projects, source control, debugging, error handling, code organisation, and performance.

14:00–15:00 | Collaborating with Agentic AI to Accelerate Research
Discover how generative and agentic AI can support human-led research workflows in MATLAB and Simulink—from planning and running code to inspecting results and refining approaches.

15:15–16:45 | Productive Workflows with MATLAB
Learn how to accelerate data analysis and visualisation, use AI-assisted coding features, automate repetitive tasks, and build interactive apps.

The sessions will include hands-on elements, so please bring your laptop with the latest version of MATLAB installed.
