Christ Church Aleksandrov - Maths Scholarship

The Mathematical Institute is pleased to partner with Christ Church to offer this scholarship to one student beginning their DPhil in Mathematics in the 2026-27 academic year. This scholarship is co-funded by Christ Church, in part thanks to the generosity of Nikolay Aleksandrov.

Terms and conditions

The scholarship will award a contribution to fees at overseas level (within the period of fee liability) with a grant for living expenses at the equivalent of the UKRI  annual doctoral stipend rate for up to four years. 

Only applicants for the DPhil in Mathematics who are eligible to pay overseas fees  and who submit their application by the January deadline will be considered. The successful applicants will be transferred to Christ Church in order to take up the scholarship if they did not apply to the college.

How to apply

To be considered for this studentship, you much be eligible to pay overseas fees and all you have to do is submit your completed application for DPhil in Mathematics by the January application deadline. Selection is expected to take place by in early March 2026.
