Collaborative Computational Modelling at the Interface (CCMI) is an EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT), offering a fully funded 4-year PhD programme at University College London (UCL) and Imperial College London.

This programme consists of a four-year research thesis on the interface of computational sciences, research software engineering and data sciences, resulting in a PhD from UCL or Imperial.

The CCMI CDT positively encourage and welcome applications from members of underrepresented groups.

An exciting PhD project on the effects of heat transfer of transitional compressible boundary layers will be carried out under the UK Hypersonics Doctoral Network, which has been supported by the Ministry of Defence and EPSRC for building the necessary expertise to develop next-generation hypersonic vehicles.

FSMP's Paris Graduate School for Mathematical Sciences (PGSM) program offers to students, selected through an online application process, Masters' scholarships of 1 or 2 years.

Applications close on 3rd February 2026. For more information on the programme, the scholarship available and details on how to apply, please visit their website: PGSM master-FSMP

The EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Quantum Informatics (QI CDT) invites applications for up to 16 fully funded four-year PhD studentships in Quantum Informatics with Integrated Study for September 2026 entry.

The School of Mathematics at Cardiff University are advertising a PhD on Monoidal Categories in Mathematical Physics. The project will study monoidal categories (also called tensor categories) and how they can appear as symmetry structures in quantum physics.

PhD positions are available in Computational Research, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence at the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ). DKFZ is Germany's largest biomedical research institute with its core site in Heidelberg, where computational scientists work at the forefront of AI and cancer research. They combine interdisciplinary approaches from computer science, medical informatics, physics, biology, bioinformatics and statistics to analyze and understand complex biological and medical data.
