Research Networks
Members of the Algebra group participate in several research networks:
Oxford Mathematics of Consciousness and Applications Network
Mathematical Consciousness Science (MCS) is an interdisciplinary field operating in the intersection between the scientific study of consciousness and applied mathematics. Notable figures in the field include Alan Turing and Professor Sir Roger Penrose FRS.
Oxford Mathematics of Consciousness and Applications Network (OMCAN) provides researchers from across the University of Oxford with the opportunity to share their knowledge in this area, participate in relevant seminars and discussions, and find funding in support of collaborative research. The network has received seed funding from the Mathematical Physical and Life Sciences Division of the university. Prof. Kobi Kremnitzer is OMCAN's principle investigator, Dr Jonathan Mason is OMCAN's network champion.

Geometry at Infinity
Dawid Kielak is a collaborator within the Priority Programme "Geometry at Infinity", a coordinated research programme in mathematics, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG). It comprises 80 research projects in the fields of differential geometry, geometric topology, and global analysis. More than 80 researchers from doctoral to professorial level, based at more than 20 German and Swiss universities, are represented in this programme.
In addition, he is engaged in ongoing collaborations with the following international researchers Goulnara Arzhantseva at the University of Vienna, Tim de Laat and Giles Gardam at the University of Münster, Piotr Nowak at IMPAN Warsaw, and Marek Kaluba at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
BLOC (Bristol-Leicester-Oxford Colloquium)
BLOC (Bristol-Leicester-Oxford Colloquium)
The Bristol Leicester Oxford Colloquium is organised by Joe Chuang (City), Karin Erdmann (Oxford), Jeremy Rickard (Bristol) and Nicole Snashall (Leicester) with the aim of encouraging research collaboration in the Representation Theory of Algebras between mathematicians at Bristol, City, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Oxford and Sheffield universities. BLOC is supported by a London Mathematical Society Scheme 3 grant. Meetings are held at Bristol, City (London), Leicester and Oxford.
