Editing Your Profile Page
Viewing Your Profile
Your profile page can be accessed from the People List and various other pages (e.g. research group member lists). It is only visible to people outside the department if you have given consent (Edit profile > Personal information > Data protection consent).
If you are logged in, you can jump straight to your own profile page from "My account" link the top navigation bar.
Editing Your Profile
From your profile page, click the "Edit" link (near the top, below main site navigation). Alternatively, click "Edit profile" in the top navigation bar from any page.
The Country field is only used in an anonymised form for the maps and flags on the Diversity page.
Research Group Membership
Your affiliated research groups (and subgroups) can be updated in Edit profile > Professional information > Research groups. This affects which groups appear on your profile, as well as the group membership lists you may appear on (if they are using the standard member list widget - if not, please contact the group administrator).
Your primary research group - used for internal processes such as Workload and Open Access reports - is also shown on the "Edit profile" page, but it cannot be edited directly. Please contact @email if it is missing or incorrect.
Publications
Publications are automatically pulled from Symplectic and updated each night.
To highlight specific publications (books/articles), mark them as favourites in your Symplectic profile.
If your publications are not displayed:
- Check your publications have been entered in Symplectic and made public
- Check the "Number of [articles/books]" fields in your profile are set to a number greater than 0 (the default is 5)
- Check your SSO account is linked to your Maths account
- Contact IT support for assistance if it is still not working
