I am a first-year DPhil Mathematics student at the Wolfson Centre for Mathematical Biology, focusing on mathematical models of atherosclerosis in collaboration with Novo Nordisk. My primary supervisors in the Mathematical Institute are Prof. Helen Byrne and Prof. Ruth Baker, and I also work with biological & medical experts Prof. Claudia Monaco, Prof. Robin Choudhury and Dr Luke Payne. Before coming to Oxford, I earned a BSc in mathematical sciences at University College Cork (UCC), and completed a research master's degree there, focusing on mathematical modelling of cancer growth. I look forward to researching how mathematical tools can be used to improve treatment strategies for cardiovascular diseases like atherosclerosis.
