Kate has been awarded a second prize in the IMA Leslie Fox Prize in Numerical Analysis for her research paper and presentation of the paper. She was one of six finalists out of a large number of submissions. 

A first prize was awarded to James Foster who was previously a PhD student and postdoc here in Oxford Mathematics.

Oxford Mathematician and computer scientist Ursula Martin has been appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) for services to Science and Education in the King's Birthday Honours 2025. Dame Ursula joins fellow Oxford Mathematicians Frances Kirwan and Alison Etheridge as DBE.

Benjamin has proved a longstanding problem about the limits of addition which  Erdös posed in a 1965 paper.

Congratulations to Mike. He joins 31 other current and retired members of the department who are FRS.
