Mathematical Modelling and Scientific Computing Case Studies

All students will learn Python at the start of the course if they do not already know it. 

In the first three weeks of Michaelmas term students will extend their knowledge of coding algorithms in Python by taking Practical Numerical Analysis classes. This will be followed by the Case Studies in Scientific Computing, and students will write up a project for assessment.

In the first three weeks of Hilary term students will participate in Mathematical Modelling classes which will include group work and presentation of results. This will be followed by the Case Studies in Mathematical Modelling which will be assessed by a group presentation and an individual project report.
