Global Blocks in Moodle

The following Blocks are shown on all course pages, and must not be deleted (because it will affect all courses):

• Top of page:
  • Feedback
  • Course Information
• Right sidebar:
  • Panopto
  • Upcoming events
  • Administration menu
  • Main menu

If you need to hide any of these from a course (e.g. the Course Handbooks):

1. Go to the course page
2. Enable edit mode (top-right corner of the page), if not already enabled
3. Click the     icon in the top-right corner of the block
4. Click "Hide <type> block"
5. Repeat steps 3-4 for any other blocks to be hidden
6. Click the     icon in the top-right corner of any of the activity sections (e.g. "General")
7. Click "View"
8. Repeat steps 3-4 for each of the blocks to be hidden (because internally the section pages are different from the course overview page)
