Display Screen Equipment Assessment

As a matter of course when computer equipment is installed in the department we ensure it is appropriately laid out to comply with display screen equipment guidelines. For references listed below are several documents of relevance

Staff should use the self-assessment system as part of their initial induction. A personal workplace assessment including the DSE assessment may also be requested by any member of the department and will also be requested on your behalf in certain occupational health situations and pregnancy etc.

For most staff hybrid working is a personal preference rather than an operational requirement. Therefore, whilst the department provides IT equipment needed to work remotely and securely, the employee is expected to be able to demonstrate that they have an appropriate work space meeting DSE requirements for working from home, ie a suitable desk space and chair. 

If you require any additional accessories please contact the IT team, e.g. if you do not have a height adjustable monitor you may want a monitor stand.
