"Mathematical Institute Gerrans Collection" material

• Most Whitehead Library books are held on the open shelf and are shown on SOLO with the location "Mathematical Inst Library".
• However, material that is shown on SOLO with the location "Mathematical Institute Gerrans Collection"  is stored offsite in the Bodleian's Repository in Swindon and therefore needs to be ordered back to Oxford if required.

To order "Mathematical Institute Gerrans Collection" material:

1. Log-in to SOLO with your Single Sign-On username and password and search for the required material.
2. Click on the green "Request" button, and then "Send Request".
3. Your order will be delivered to the Humanities Library in the Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities  which is next door to the Mathematical Institute/Andrew Wiles Building.

4. To collect your ordered item:

   • Go to the 1st floor in the Schwarzman Centre.
   • At the top of the stairs, turn right to enter the Humanities Library.
   • Go to the enquiry desk and the library staff will check out the item on loan to you.

   Note : your University Card will open both the turnstile at the foot of the stairs and the entrance into the Library at these times: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 8:00pm.

5. Returning Books
   All "Mathematical Institute Gerrans Collection" material must be returned to the Humanities Library (and not the Whitehead Library) in order to be cleared from your SOLO library account.
