MAT livestream - 2025 archive

In 2025 we ran a weekly livestream talking about maths problems and discussing problem-solving strategies from June to October, with a focus on Oxford's Mathematics Admissions Test (MAT). The live sessions were recorded, with links in the table below.

In June and July, we revised material covered on the MAT syllabus. The worksheets below include some revision notes and questions to help you to quickly check your understanding. There are also selected past MAT questions on each worksheet, with hints and solutions. The livestreams  covered most of the revision material and some or all of the MAT questions, depending on what the viewers wanted to see!

In September and October, there were six livestreams to look at questions from past MAT papers, usually selected by the viewers based on questions they've found difficult or interesting. We recommended that students attempt some past paper questions before joining the livestream session, which will contain answers for some of the questions.

After the Mathematics Admissions Test took place on 22—23 October 2025, there were two bonus livestreams; one to talk about the long questions from MAT 2025, and one to look at some sample Oxford interview questions for Mathematics and joint honours.
